Ocean Reef Club has been called “one of America’s most exclusive club communities” by Robb Report. Today, this private, member-owned community offers its residents and guests the same luxury, service and privacy that have made the club a favored destination of presidents, heads of state and leaders of industry for almost 60 years.
Quite possibly the most prestigious private club in the world, Ocean Reef Club has been a fixture in the Florida Keys since the 1960s. With an aging membership base and changing market demographics, Cotton & Company navigated the Club through a marketing transition from “exclusive” to “inclusive.” Cotton & Company showcased Ocean Reef’s “Unique Way of Life” throughout the pages of a custom published magazine – Ocean Reef Club Living, promoted through traditional and new media channels. Cotton & Company also launched Ocean Reef Club Real Estate Company, a member-owned brokerage offering real estate services to the Club Members, gaining an additional revenue stream to support the Club.
Membership in Ocean Reef Club is by invitation only. The primary categories of membership are Equity—for property owners; Social—for non-property owners who stay in The Inn or in one of the condominiums or homes of the club's Vacation Rental Program; and Legacy—for the grown children of Equity Members. All of the amenities and facilities of the club are open exclusively to members and sponsored guests. A community of 1,700 private homes, condominiums and luxurious waterfront estates with their own private docks is complemented by rental accommodations that include an oceanfront inn and a selection of rental villas. Amenities include a 4,000-foot airstrip, 36 holes of championship golf, a 175-slip marina for private yachts and boat charters, exceptional fishing, tennis, Buccaneer Island for beach activities and water recreation, a cultural center, a medical center, a salon and spa, dining at a choice of nine restaurants and seven lounges, and shopping at the quaint Fishing Village.
